Every comic you will find listed for sale on this site has been graded and priced by me, Marc Sims. For 27 years I’ve made my living operating a brick and mortar comic book store. I’ve been an advisor to the Overstreet Price Guide for 15 years and have seen just about everything that you can see in this hobby. I love old comic books!

When you buy one of our comics, you can feel confident knowing that it has undergone a rigorous process, including:

• Full page count to ensure completeness
• Full interior check for missing coupons, value stamps, rust, writing, brittle pages, etc.
• Restoration checks to detect any amateur work that has been done to the comic

I will then assign a grade on the 10 point standard grading scale commonly used in the hobby. This is the grade you will see on each product page on this site. I learned from some of the tightest graders in comics and I take great pride in being known throughout the hobby as a fair and conservative grader.

Pressing & Cleaning

We do not press or clean any comics here at Big B Barrie. That is a guarantee. Every comic we sell is being offered in as close to its original, unaltered condition as possible.

Shipping and Handling

Our shipping rates are calculated based on size, weight, and your destination. All comics are shipped boxed in between thick cardboard to ensure safe delivery and are mailed via Canada Post, with tracking. All parcels ship uninsured. If you want us to ship your comics via some other courier or would like to purchase insurance, please contact us before checking out. Overseas buyers please contact us for shipping rates. We are happy to work with you as best we can.

Paypal

A 4% surcharge will be added on to your invoice for any payment made through Paypal.

High Dollar Purchases

To protect ourselves from potential fraud, initial purchases over $2000 CAD must be made via wire transfer or PayPal. You will receive wire instructions when you check out. Canadian customers may pay via wire or Interac e-transfer. Established buyers in good standing may be able to pay via credit card on future purchases.
